📖 How To Use

Step-by-step guide to getting accurate results

Before You Start

Make sure you are in a well-lit room. If you wear glasses or contact lenses for daily activities, wear them during distance tests. If you use reading glasses, wear them for the near vision test.

Test Order

We recommend completing the tests in order: Distance → Near → Astigmatism → Color Blindness → Amsler Grid → Contrast. This ensures the best accuracy.

Distance Vision (Snellen)

Sit or stand exactly 3 meters (10 feet) from your screen. Cover your left eye with your palm (do not press). Read the chart top to bottom and click the last row you can read correctly. Repeat for the other eye.

Near Vision

Hold your device or sit 35–40 cm away. Wear reading glasses if applicable. Select the smallest row of text you can read comfortably.

Astigmatism

Look at the center of the star/clock chart. Cover one eye. If some lines appear darker, blurrier, or more distinct than others, this may indicate astigmatism. Repeat for the other eye.

Color Blindness (Ishihara)

Look at each colored circle for 3–5 seconds. Report the number you see. Normal vision and color deficiency lead to different answers.

Amsler Grid

Focus on the red center dot. Keep your eye focused on the center while observing the grid in your peripheral vision. Tap/click any area where the lines appear wavy, missing, or blurred.

Contrast Sensitivity

Read the rows of letters from top to bottom. Each row uses lower contrast. Select the last row you can read clearly.
